The climatic and topographical conditions of the Tamborine Mountain are ideal for our focus on the Estate’s fruit quality.

TOPOGRAPHY & SOIL

The Tamborine Mountain plateau formed 20 million years ago by volcanic activity. It’s 500m above sea level, and 20 km from the coast in sub-tropical temperate rainforest.
The plateau has deep and rich basalt topsoil - one of the best for fruit quality. It has good drainage and encourages deep root growth that’s resilient to drought and heavy rain.

CLIMATE

The Gold Coast Hinterland maritime climate is ideal for producing full-flavoured soft wines. Some of the best-known wine growing regions, such as Bordeaux in France and Margaret River in West Australia boast a similar maritime.
