OUR SCARECROW, MORE THAN A LABEL....

Our labels are recognizable by our scarecrow. This emblem is a constant reminder of the value we place on the rich bird life of the Queensland Hinterland.

Birds find the sweet fruit of vines particularly tasty and can destroy crops. But modern methods of control are often disruptive to the bird's nesting and breeding habits.

So we decided on alternative methods that are environmentally sound. One of these, the scarecrow, has been used successfully for centuries. And these whimsical characters certainly add to the picturesque charm of the Estate.
